Here’s what I do to create these money making sites…
1 Install WordPress and a basic theme, I like to use a plain looking 3 column theme with a small sidebar on the left and a larger sidebar on the right with the main content in the middle. The reason the theme should be plain and simple is because we want to draw attention to the Amazon products featured on your site and not the fancy site design or graphics. Not to mention it’s a lot faster and easier to whip up a plain site with no graphics.
2 Add your important legal pages like privacy policy, disclaimer and contact pages these will give you more trust and authority which will increase your overall conversions. Plus they will save your butt if you get into any trouble. You can use some cool free Plugins inside WordPress like ‘easy privacy policy’ and ‘FS contact form’ not to mention you can go and use other sites legal pages as a model and then just change the necessary information like your site name and contact details.
3 SEO optimize your website. This is done easily with the Platinum SEO Plugin and some knowledge of keyword research. Good keywords are general buyer type keywords for the main category of your site such as buy lawn mowers for a lawn mower Amazon site. You can also use Google’s suggest for some keyword ideas.
4 Install WPZonBuilder this is the best Amazon site builder I have found and I use it on a number of different websites. There are several things I love about this Plugin. For instance you can choose which products you want to que up to drip feed into your website, I typically space them 2 or 3 days apart. You can also add in sidebar widgets for related products which I do on all of my Amazon sites.
From a conversions stand point the content links to Amazon several times and also uses the Amazon look and feel this is great because it means more people clicking over to Amazon which increases the chance of you getting credit for a sale, since Amazon cookies you as an affiliate for a day or two.
5 Build some backlinks this is important because you need to let Google know you are an authority so make sure you get your site indexed quickly and then start building some high quality backlinks. This will transfer over to your product specific post and get them ranked as well and that means money in the bank!
