Email marketing is insanely powerful it makes great sense to utilize that into your automated income machines and the fact that it’s easy to do helps a lot.

So here’s what you do…

1. Choose a relatively large niche with lots of products and solutions that are not solved quickly. Based on the fact that the solution takes time and effort you’ll be able to sell multiple products within that niche to the same person.

2. Develop a strategy to build your email list. You need a way to get targeted people on your list. I like to focus on using multiple methods of list building and figure out which ones work the best for that niche. You could syndicate content, provide 100% commission for a product you have the rights to sell or any number of other things.

3. Create a follow up email sequence. This is relatively easy and I recommend you use Aweber because they track open rates and click through rates which will help you to test and tweak different lower performing messages to increase your profits. You can also send out multiple emails within the same day which you should use at the start of your email sequence to quickly get new subscribers to turn into sales when they’re still red hot and looking for a solution.

So that’s the simple 3 step process which you can use to make lots of money online. This method is simple and insanely powerful, are you going to use it?

I was lazy and didn’t do this one thing that other successful internet marketers have been telling me to do for a while. Like most people sometimes you don’t do certain things in your business until you are ready.

I’m willing to bet that you aren’t currently doing this 1 simple thing either.

Why can I be so sure?

It’s not sexy, hardly any internet marketing product tells you to do it and it’s something that really only a small group of usually very successful internet marketers do.

Okay I’ll stop teasing you and tell you what it is…

“Split Testing”

See I told you, but the honest truth is I’m making way more money now that I have several split test running and several split test following up on the previous test.

I use Google’s website optimizer which you can find with a simple Google search.

What you do is choose an original page a variation of that original page and a conversion page. Then you simply paste a simple code into each of those pages that Google gives you to automatically track how each one converts and automatically figure out which one converts the best and how much better it converts until it’s certain there is a winner. All by sending them to the original page which rotates to the variation page automatically.

I’ve seen some crazy increases in conversions like nearly 200% and it’s exciting because it becomes like a game where you always win because you make more money.

You should do split test on opt in pages and sales page; you could even do some on affiliate sites. As long as you’re getting traffic to your page then it’s worth it to split test and when you’re getting a lot of traffic you can’t afford not to split test.

Just think if you have 1000 visitors come to your site and you increase your conversion rate for your $9 product from 1% to 3% you just increased the amount you make per visitor from $0.09 to $0.27 that means for 1000 visitors instead of making $90 you’ll make $270.

Not only do you bring in more money, you actually can afford to spend more money and that makes it easier to grow your business faster, so there are multiple effects.

1 You need to focus on getting lots of targeted friends or likes…

Facebook makes this easy since it practically does it for you. The key is to get momentum and then let that carry you onto assembling a massive following.

For example I finally set up my internet marketing Facebook account during the first part of 2011 which I use to keep in contact with friends and others in internet marketing… a little late I know!

So the first thing I did was turn my existing contacts into Facebook friends, I then began adding more people I know or have followed in internet marketing… adding to that I became friends with people I interacted with who I knew were also into internet marketing.

The result was a ton of my requesting friends for the first few months after that it seemed to snowball so I didn’t have to actively request friendships and after 6 months I had over 1,000 Facebook friends.

It was so simple and anyone can do it…

2 Be Active

The more active you are in a positive way the better, so that means do not spam messages just share cool things, joke around and have some fun… if people like you they’ll look to see what else you have.

A great connector between Facebook follower and buying customer is by having a blog, specifically one that collects email addresses. Of course selling something in an email is much more acceptable than pimping products on Facebook (don’t do it!) unless you have a fan page and you do it in a cool way.

Once you have a massive following and prove you have good things to share people will naturally see you as a Facebook marketing powerhouse and you’ll have a great relationship with your customers.

Even better these sites actually generate passive income once the site is set up and you get a few backlinks to the site. I have sites using this exact process that pull in $100s each month.

Here’s what I do to create these money making sites…

1 Install WordPress and a basic theme, I like to use a plain looking 3 column theme with a small sidebar on the left and a larger sidebar on the right with the main content in the middle. The reason the theme should be plain and simple is because we want to draw attention to the Amazon products featured on your site and not the fancy site design or graphics. Not to mention it’s a lot faster and easier to whip up a plain site with no graphics.

2 Add your important legal pages like privacy policy, disclaimer and contact pages these will give you more trust and authority which will increase your overall conversions. Plus they will save your butt if you get into any trouble. You can use some cool free Plugins inside WordPress like ‘easy privacy policy’ and ‘FS contact form’ not to mention you can go and use other sites legal pages as a model and then just change the necessary information like your site name and contact details.

3 SEO optimize your website. This is done easily with the Platinum SEO Plugin and some knowledge of keyword research. Good keywords are general buyer type keywords for the main category of your site such as buy lawn mowers for a lawn mower Amazon site. You can also use Google’s suggest for some keyword ideas.

4 Install WPZonBuilder this is the best Amazon site builder I have found and I use it on a number of different websites. There are several things I love about this Plugin. For instance you can choose which products you want to que up to drip feed into your website, I typically space them 2 or 3 days apart. You can also add in sidebar widgets for related products which I do on all of my Amazon sites.

From a conversions stand point the content links to Amazon several times and also uses the Amazon look and feel this is great because it means more people clicking over to Amazon which increases the chance of you getting credit for a sale, since Amazon cookies you as an affiliate for a day or two.

5 Build some backlinks this is important because you need to let Google know you are an authority so make sure you get your site indexed quickly and then start building some high quality backlinks. This will transfer over to your product specific post and get them ranked as well and that means money in the bank!

The best way to make money with WordPress websites is to study what websites are selling on flippa.com. Then you simply duplicate a site with your own style. To take it a step further you can create a system of building and selling your websites and sell the same type of site several times as long as there is a demand for it.

A lot of people get tripped up believing there site needs to be making money and getting a lot of traffic. The truth is this is hard for most people and the good news is there are plenty of ways to flip WordPress websites that have no traffic and are not making a dime.
There are a few different types of sites you can build and flip with WordPress. The common belief is that WordPress is just for blogs if you look through Flippa you’ll see that it is not. You can even specify WordPress in your search criteria as you search Flippa. You will see that you can flip affiliate sites for both physical and information products, Adsense websites, service based websites and even ecommerce websites all using WordPress.

The best thing you can do when flipping WordPress websites is to build up the value by adding in a nice looking premium theme you paid for. Beyond that it’s usually a good idea to use plugins to get traffic or SEO optimize your website, not to mention any plugins that you paid for to add value to your Flippa listing.

People want to know that the site has potential to bring in traffic and income with little work. So when you write your listing be sure to write about the potential the site has for both income and traffic. To do this you can look at the amount they can make of a single transaction (whatever the site is selling or can earn per click) and also look up the search volume for a few of the keyword phrases in Google’s free keyword tool.

Additionally, you’ll want to make sure and make the process as quick and easy as possible on you, that’s why I recommend getting a WordPress cloning software personally I use WP twin. This will allow you to easily transfer your websites to new owners and even to transfer it to another one of your domains to speed up the website building process.

It’s always smart to start out with a small test when testing out a new traffic source so that you don’t end up losing a lot of money with very little to show for it. Your test should be conducted using a separate new list, almost every autoresponder allows this. You then track all your mailings to that list and can usually get a good idea of how well it’s working after a few weeks if not sooner.

Another good idea is to test every aspect of your lead funnel. This means split test squeeze/opt in pages, one time offer pages, thank you pages, download pages and even mailings you send out. A loosing campaign can turn into a winning campaign by consistently testing. The good news is you can do this for free using Google’s website optimizer.

Now that you know that, we can get into some traffic sources you should look into for building your subscribers list. After using several cheap traffic sources I can tell you with confidence most of them are not worth the money.

A good traffic source once you have done some testing is pay per view traffic. This traffic works best if you use a squeeze page that is short and sweet. I typically use a nice headline, a sub-headline and a call to action and that’s it. Since most of these visitors don’t expect to see your web page and typically don’t want to spend a lot of time on it.

Another cheap traffic source is buying solo ads. These are mailings from other people who have email list sometimes they are called ezine ads. What you want to do before you purchase these types of ads is try and purchase it based on the amount of visitors you’ll get to your website. A typical price is $0.20 to $0.30 per visitor which may seem high but a large percentage of them will join your list if the list owner sends a targeted mailing.

Banner and text ads are another great way to build your subscriber list for a relatively low cost. You’ll need to find a quality and closely related traffic source. Focus on getting attention and targeted benefits related to your opt-in page in your ad and you’ll get targeted subscribers.

Facebook is a good way to build a subscriber list for a low cost, it’s best to send them to a fan page then ask them to join your list once they are a fan. You’ll also want to really find out what your leads demographic are by looking on sites like Quantcast.

That’s why I’d like to share a few of my best tips for avoiding destroying your site. First you want to only activate 1 Plugin at a time, this ensures that you know which Plugin caused the problem. You should take it a step further and set up that Plugin how you want it before moving on to the next Plugin.

If a Plugin causes a problem or you get an error message, press the back button on your browser and try to unactivated the Plugin or delete it from your website. If that doesn’t work you’ll have to delete it manually through FTP.

Also it’s important to know that just because you receive an error message it doesn’t mean that the Plugin doesn’t work on your site, so open your website in a new tab and see if it works properly while using the original tab to go to the Plugins list page in case you have to delete the Plugin.

Another common problem in WordPress is the amount of memory allocated to your WordPress website, some websites require more memory to run certain Plugins so if you get a memory warning then talk to your hosting provider about allocating more memory to your website.

There are many potential problems that may occur in WordPress and usually you can find some sort of explanation by searching around online, so make sure you utilize Google’s search and be specific in your search if you can.

The short answer is no it’s not, if you’re anything like I was you’re probably brushing this off as no big deal. The truth is we all think we have a pretty good idea of who our customers are. Most of use only have an idea and most of that idea is surface obvious stuff.

If we really want to have a competitive advantage and sell way more stuff as a product owner or an affiliate it’s really necessary to understand your customers well. Eben Pagan says if you can explain your prospects problem better than them they assume you are the expert and will be falling over themselves to buy your product. So not only do you need to know what products they like, you also need to know the problems they’re having really well.

A successful online marketing friend of mine Jason Fladlien once said you need to know 3 problems your prospect is having and 3 things they want. Just knowing a hand full of problems and dreams most of your customers have will really get them thinking you know them and that you are talking to them, when this happens you’ve hooked them in and they want to buy from you.

Frank Kern in his famous ‘Core Influence’ presentation talks about his customer avatar being a middle aged man, slightly geeky for tech stuff and his wife thinks he’s crazy for trying this online thing. You know what I’m sure a ton of people are in that same situation.

The main benefit of having a clear customer avatar is that you can speak in your emails, sales letters, videos… and any other online marketing you do to that avatar because you have a representation of them in your mind.
