1 You need to focus on getting lots of targeted friends or likes…
Facebook makes this easy since it practically does it for you. The key is to get momentum and then let that carry you onto assembling a massive following.
For example I finally set up my internet marketing Facebook account during the first part of 2011 which I use to keep in contact with friends and others in internet marketing… a little late I know!
So the first thing I did was turn my existing contacts into Facebook friends, I then began adding more people I know or have followed in internet marketing… adding to that I became friends with people I interacted with who I knew were also into internet marketing.
The result was a ton of my requesting friends for the first few months after that it seemed to snowball so I didn’t have to actively request friendships and after 6 months I had over 1,000 Facebook friends.
It was so simple and anyone can do it…
2 Be Active
The more active you are in a positive way the better, so that means do not spam messages just share cool things, joke around and have some fun… if people like you they’ll look to see what else you have.
A great connector between Facebook follower and buying customer is by having a blog, specifically one that collects email addresses. Of course selling something in an email is much more acceptable than pimping products on Facebook (don’t do it!) unless you have a fan page and you do it in a cool way.
Once you have a massive following and prove you have good things to share people will naturally see you as a Facebook marketing powerhouse and you’ll have a great relationship with your customers.
